dallas does christmas.

saturday night i ventured into downtown dallas for the first time since i have been here. we got a group together and went to the dallas city lights event, where the streets are blocked off and they unveil the whole christmas scene in all the stores and the parks. there were vendors and even it's a wonderful life was playing.

the biggest hurrah at this event is the neiman marcus display. it is supposed to be huge and beautiful every year and they did not disappoint. it was so beautiful and magical inside but on the outside they had an interactive playground for the kids. it was pretty amazing.

after eating some tacos and walking around in complete awe, we went back to shawn and cameron's apartment for a bond movie and some krispy kremes. yum.

it's official. adele is the cutest.

i know i know, i'm like three years behind jumping on this bandwagon. [although, i would argue that i knew about her before she got popular. yeah. i went there.] but i just watched some of her live concert dvd from royal albert hall and she really is amazing. this was one i love and have had on repeat. watch out, she says the f word right at the beginning. i don't know if it counts though because her accent is so thick. yeah.

utah: reception night.

i have been to my fair share of receptions, and i am only twenty two. but if i was to give this reception a title, i would say it was the most tumblr-worthy i have ever attended. if you don't know what that means, just know that it is awesome. i love having such a cool sister.

kind of like stealing.

this one time i got a dresser, a desk and a nightstand for a grand total of eighty dollars. as in eight zero. as in super cheap. yay for thrift stores that are the catholic version of deseret industries. yay for best friends who let me text them and ask for their sound opinion. yay for heavenly father fulfilling silly needs like having drawers to put my things in.

i have been wanting a dresser forlikeever. and finally, after three months, after numerous debates running circles in my head of what kind of furniture to get, i was able to take my clothes out of the cardboard boxes they came in and placed them in actual drawers. decorations to come soon...

did i mention they were eighty dollars? such a steal.

crouching tiger, hidden dragon.

right before finals, i went on a date with a friend to nickel city. it was so crazy fun and i checked it off my 'typical things to do in provo' list. we had a competition with the other couple to see who could get the most tickets. you better believe we won. then we cashed in our five hundred tickets for prizes, including, but not limited to super awesome mustaches, amazing and totally real tattoos, a drink umbrella, and a blue braid clip. basically we hit the jackpot and we now own provo.

we are so tough with our tattoos. what up. i may or may not have worn it to church the next day. and my roommate may or may not have freaked out a little when she saw it. #mybad

pinterest party, heyo!

due to the love some girlfriends and i have for pinterest, we decided to throw a party during priesthood session of general conference. while the boys are away, the girls will play!

we each brought a food/dessert dish we found on pinterest and made a super cool bracelet i had pinned.
