eating with friends is always a good idea.

a few weeks ago i got to have dinner with two of my favorite people ever, rachel and codi. we went to pizzeria 712 [their name always reminds me of entertainment 720] and it was amazing! seriously, some of the best pizza i've ever had and the whole place had a really cool feel to it.
love these girls.
next they introduced me to the pazookie at the chocolate. basically it is a huge chocolate chip cookie that is pulled out early, still hot and gooey, and topped with ice cream. it is probably definitely the most delicious food to have ever entered my mouth. seriously, new favorite dessert.
yeah... we cleaned it right up.
saturday i went to lunch with my sisters and cousins. we were there for a solid three hours just talking and eating and laughing. it was pretty great.
afterward we went to a couple bridal shops to check out the veils for my cousin.
sister pic! silly pose...? i really hope so.
the next day i got to hang out with even more of my favorite people. jeff and i went on a walk after church and took this cool pic. i love the mountains. can you spot us?
later i went to leah's for a delicious lunch and chatted with her for a while. after that i went to my friends' heather and todd's house for dinner. and then todd made us cookies while we sat and chatted, giving us a little dessert appetizer while we waited. have i mentioned that cookies slash cookie dough is my favorite ever?
i did some serious socializing and eating that weekend. and i am a fan of both. so i deem it a successful weekend indeed.
crap, now i really want some cookie dough.

true blue and breakfast food.

last saturday, my blood was the bluest it has ever been.
go cougars.
i also ate a comical amount of breakfast food. these two incidents are only somewhat related.

saturday morning i met up with jen, sarah, and leslie for a birthday breakfast for jen [22! oh em gee!]. we ate at magleby's, only one of the best breakfast places around. everything they have is top notch. everything. i opted for the omelet myself but that did not keep me from stealing a few bites of leslie's pancakes. so good. honestly, anyone could win my heart if they suggested magleby's for breakfast. and do not get me started on their chocolate cake. easily my favorite cake ever. everrrr.
apparently we failed to get a picture of this occasion. oh well.

then sarah and i went to the byusa pancake breakfast at the creamery on ninth. for homecoming they always several stands making thousands of blue pancakes. tons of people came and ate before the parade started. which sarah and i watched and it was awesome. plus we got to see codi, rachel, and adam! #yayforfriends
don't exactly know who this guys is... but he wanted to be in the picture. cool!
 adam!
medieval club. they are so cool.
 llamas!!!
yum.
 me, adam, and sarah.
after that fun time i went home, took a nap, then went to the awful waffle with matt. we had talked about trying it out and so we finally did! i got crepes with peanut butter, pumpkin sause, and syrup. go big or go home guys. btdub it was delicious. i would easily make a weekly trip if i had the funds and metabolism for it.
after that deliciousness i went over to sarah's and we watched jane eyre. that movie is amazing. i'm sure i will be expressing my love for it [and michael fassbender] in a post soon enough.
sarah and danny invited me to dinner so we went to noodles & co [also delicious]. and they invited me to the homecoming football game! thanks guys!
my second byu football game as a student! look at me now.
we met up with the group during halftime. love.
[apparently katie and brady left before we took this. oops!]
yay for byu and breakfast! and friends. and jane eyre. just a few of my favorite things.

pinterest party, heyo!

due to the love some girlfriends and i have for pinterest, we decided to throw a party during priesthood session of general conference. while the boys are away, the girls will play!
we each brought a food/dessert dish we found on pinterest and made a super cool bracelet i had pinned.
that's right. we got crafty.
my roommate jannae and me. #loveher
me and anna. homegirl is freaking amazing. she and leslie were the masterminds behind the epicness of this party.
it was so fun to meet new people and eat ridiculously delicious food. and we all left feeling a little more accomplished and awesome. i'm thinking this needs to be a monthly thing...

spring break: byu style

sarah tweeted that general conference weekend is byu's spring break. it's so true though.
everything stops for general conference. it's kind of awesome. everyone knows that everyone will [hopefully] be watching conference. and doing fun things in between.
saturday morning i went to my ward breakfast, then i watched the first session with sarah, jen, katie, leslie, and some other friends. between the first and second session sarah and i hiked the y. it was such a beautiful day [75 glorious degrees]. we decided to listen to the afternoon session on top of the y[thank you mormon channel app]. um hi, most brilliant idea ever. the best part [besides elder nelson's talk] was when the choir started to sing 'high on a mountain top'. motab knows what's up.
after that, we went home and had a huge super awesome girl's night during priesthood session. it was so fun to be with my favorite girls doing what we do best: eating pizza, indulgin in golden spoon, telling funny stories and watching 'sabrina'. i guess you could say we know how to party hardy. true story.
sunday i listened to the morning session while i cleaned my room [i be productive] and then i went over to my grandma's house for the last session. man, i am always so sad when conference is over. it just flies by every time. i'm so excited for the general conference ensign to come out next month so i can read them all again!

a good heart.

for some reason it's hard for me to take compliments. even from my mom. i appreciate them but sometimes they make me feel uncomfortable cause i don't know what to say. i guess thanks would work. it's something i'm working on.
but there's one thing i always love to hear: how healthy i am.
i gave blood the other day and after taking my pulse the lady asked if i worked out regularly. why yes. yes i do. i asked her what the normal pulse was and she said between 50 and 100, and when it's on the lower end of 50 they ask if the person exercises. she said mine was 54. i think i literally did a fist pump.
when i was doing breathing exercises for my stress class in the biofeedback lab, the lady asked if i exercise on a regular basis. yes ma'am. i asked why and she said i had a good heart. another fist pump.
i think it makes me feel like i'm doing something right. my hard work is paying off. and it's fact, not subjective to opinion or point of view. it's there, in the results. you can't question those.

pizza with soul friends

there are some people who are just meant to be your friends.
saturday, sarah and i went to lunch with our dear friends codi and rachel. they are so beautiful and fun and we are always guaranteed a good time with them. when i first met them i thought they were so cool, i was scared to talk to them. then i became friends with them, found out they are even cooler than i thought and now i just thank the heavens every day that they consider me a friend.
we went to malawi's pizza, a new joint in the riverwoods that uses a portion of each meal bought to feed an orphan in africa. brilliant. look at us. catching up and feeding orphans. i don't know how you can get any more productive on a saturday afternoon.
i got the malawi capri. oh my goodness, divine deliciousness in my mouth. their menu was super healthy, the options were so diverse and you don't feel sick after eating it. approve.
i love these beautiful girls.
after we said our goodbyes sarah and i felt the need for some frozen yogurt. we just could not deny it. and trust me, we resisted... like, a lot.
so we hit up yogurtland and, yum yum it was delicious. i don't know if i like it better than golden spoon... but it is definitely up there. i got devil's chocolate cupcake batter [yes, it is as good as it sounds] and peanut butter. with reese's cup, reese's pieces and white chocolate chip toppings. yeah... i kind of destroy any healthy connotation there is with froyo.
biodegradable spoons. once again, just saving the world with my eating habits.
i mark this weekend as a success.
