k city.

a couple weeks ago i took a weekend trip to kansas city to visit my good friends, jeff and becca johnson. i hadn't seen them for a year and it was so nice to catch up and see where their new life. [jeff is going to dental school and becca is going to nursing school. basically they super humans]. 

among some of the fun things we did: walked in the power and light district. vistited the liberty jail, the independence visitor's center, and the rlds temple. ate delicious kansas city bbq. saw monet and a massive birdie at the art museum. ate becca's favorite local ice cream. played scrabble and watched netflix. went to church and drove by the temple on the way to the airport.

it was a fun filled trip and i am so grateful i got to see my friends. they were amazing hosts and it was just the getaway i needed. thanks for everything mr and mrs johnson!

utah: post wedding.

basically everything after the big day just felt like one big wedding hangover. but we did get to fit some good times in during the recovery.

the last day and a half consisted of lounging, kneaders [twice], mountains, snowbird, provo friends [and leslie!!!], lauren's birthday [do i dare say which one?], seeing my daddyo, and goodbyes.

baby levi and gina got along so well, i am sure he was convincing her to stay in utah. but alas.

i love utah. i love my family. i am so grateful that i got to spend so much time with them. i guess being away just makes it that much sweeter when i come back. next time is christmas. [so close!]

until then, i will stay in texas and love every minute.

utah: reception night.

i have been to my fair share of receptions, and i am only twenty two. but if i was to give this reception a title, i would say it was the most tumblr-worthy i have ever attended. if you don't know what that means, just know that it is awesome. i love having such a cool sister.

utah: wedding day.

it is safe to say that this is a wedding i have been waiting for my entire life. and it did not disappoint. between getting all dolled up, waiting at the temple with the kiddos, watching niki and renn come out of the temple, and the amazing reception to follow, there is actually nothing that could have made it better. 

shout out to renn for letting me stop him and square up so i could take this shoe pic.

hung out with these guys until the reception. on the way back to the car, track asked me why i live so far away. good question! why can't i have my whole family live on one street so we can play together and laugh together and eat together all the time?? i guess that is what my heaven will look like.

utah: pre wedding.

the first couple days before the wedding included, but were not limited to: babies, bridal showers,  sisters, cousins, cafe rio, airport reunions [we hadn't seen georgina since christmas, it was a crime], city creek, spray tans, salon care, yummy thai food, and more reunions.

ahhh i missed these babies.

finally met baby saylor. four months later.

being in utah was such a dream. the first day i was already panicking about leaving but i made the conscious decision to not worry about it and enjoy the FIVE DAYS i got to be there. more to come!
