day of my life.

i thought it might be fun to share a few snapshots of what my day to day life [usually] looks like. i might do some more installments of these since my life is an ever-changing kaleidoscope that brings up experiences and adventures i am surprised with daily. no sarcasm whatsoever.
starting my day off with some chamomile honey tea from my incredibly festive byu cup. forever a cougar.
i don't have a table so this is my view as i lean against the counter eating my delicious oatmeal breakfast.
my desktop at work. my coworkers think i'm crazy. #hatersgonnahate
i definitely underestimated how much i could use post its. i thought i loved them before... but i knew nothing of post it love.
what it looks like when i leave work. sunlight!
stopped by tom thumb on my way home. please note the 112 degrees. what uppp.
even with the unbelievably high temperature i am wearing a long sleeve cardigan. this because my office is freezing to the point where i warm my hands with freshly printed paper.
i always check the mail before i walk in my apt. yes. that is what my actual mailbox actually looks like.
watched the gym girls completely dominate while i filed some papers. i may have cried. i don't know. whatever. don't look at me.
going for a run. still insane amounts of hot. [100 degrees+ at 8:30 pm]
my beautiful bed is all kinds of heavenly and is probably my favorite place in dallas. yeah. i said it.

that is my day. not included: listening to alec baldwin's podcast on the way to work, leftover chocolate cake i thoroughly savored and enjoyed, my trip to office depot during lunch, my commute home in record time, the hour long conversation i had with anna [second one in two days], the amazing watermelon i ate with dinner. maybe next time.

he found his cast he wore 30 years ago. nice.
he gave me his camera he got for his high school graduation in 1974. cool!
we spent some time with baby cruz. love those cheeks.
got some authentic mexican food and met up with my cute uncle.
drove to arizona where i went to a spring training game. i love baseball season.
pretty desert.

last week.

took mark on a walk in the beautiful warm sun. and threw some rocks.
bought some sweet new running kicks. soooo excited.
found myself watching 30 rock. by myself. in some boys' house. how does this happen?
video chatted with mine bestie before the big day. used two different programs because technology hates us.

the district sleeps alone tonight.

while i was in virginia visiting gina, we took a day and went to dc. it was so fun and i loved every minute of it. everything was so classic and cool and perfect. i need to be there. new goal.
it was a beautiful day, so nice for january. we had lunch near dupont circle and then met up with my old roomie lindsay as we toured some of the monuments. after that we visited the holocaust museum, which was incredible. we said peace to the president, ate some east coast cafe rio, and then split.
the mlk memorial is brand new and so cool. happy martin luther king day!
'out of the mountain of despair, a stone of hope'
'i was a drum major for justice, peace and righteousness'
i deem this day a success. now i need to make my dream a reality.

sixty five.

it was so nice in st g over christmas break. at least sixty to sixty five degrees everyday. that is very high when you come from the frigid cold mountains and fear for snow and ice everyday. i will have to face actual winter this week, trying not to think about it...
anyway, my mom and i took advantage of the beautiful shining sun with a hike and some tennis watching.
david is the next roger federer.
